A School Built Around Your Child

Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions a family makes. At Millie's Place, we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach — we believe every child deserves an education as unique as they are.

We are building North Texas's first K–2 school of innovation, where personalized instruction, embedded therapies, and a deep culture of belonging come together to help every learner thrive.

Whether your child is neurodivergent, a struggling learner, an advanced learner, or somewhere in between — there is a place for them here.

Personalized for Every Child

Every student receives an individualized learning plan tailored to their unique strengths, needs, and pace of growth.

True Inclusion

Children of all abilities learn together in the same classroom, supported by embedded therapies and differentiated instruction.

Evidence-Based Teaching

Everything we do is grounded in research — from our mastery-based curriculum to our therapeutic supports.

Whole Child Development

We nurture academic, social, emotional, and physical growth so children step confidently into the world.

Family Partnership

Families are essential partners at Millie's Place. We keep you informed, involved, and empowered every step of the way.

Eligibility & Who We Welcome

Millie's Place Academy is an inclusive K–2 school open to all children regardless of ability, learning style, or background. We specifically designed our program to serve:

Grades K–2

We serve children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade — typically ages 5 to 8 — in our inaugural cohort opening August 2027.

All Abilities Welcome

Our classrooms are designed for children of all abilities — including those with IEPs, 504 plans, learning differences, or no formal diagnosis at all.

Path C

Path A

School Enrollment Only

Who: Any child, with or without a disability

Schedule: Full-time, 5 days/week, 8:00–3:00

Funding: Tuition only

Full-time enrollment with all academic and social programming, no ABA services. Ideal for children without an autism diagnosis, or families choosing school as the primary setting.

Path C

Intensive ABA Only

Who: Children with autism — typically early learners building foundational skills

Schedule: Full-time ABA, 30–40 hrs/week, no school enrollment

Funding: Billed entirely to insurance based on medical necessity

Full-time 1:1 ABA before entering a group school setting — building foundational skills so a child is set up for success when they transition into school.

2026–2027 Founding Year · Path A

Full-Time Tuition

$1,525 / month

For children enrolled full-time, five days a week, 8:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m. — MPA's standard enrollment schedule. Based on 10 monthly payments due the 1st of each month, August through May ($15,250 total for the year). Annual payment in full is also available. Tuition covers our full-day, mastery-based academic program; occupational, physical, speech, and ABA therapy services are provided on-site by our partner, Lumira Pediatrics, and billed separately to insurance.

Path B families: a part-time tuition rate applies to the school portion of the day for children pairing school with ABA, based on the blended schedule outlined in their individualized plan. This rate is finalized on a rolling basis during our founding year — reach out below for current details.

Frequently Asked Questions

Millie's Place Academy will launch in August 2026 with a small founding cohort of Kindergarten through 2nd grade students (ages 5–8). Our inaugural year in August 2027 will expand to serve a larger, diverse community of K–2 learners of all abilities. We plan to grow with our students over time.

No diagnosis is required. Millie's Place is an inclusive school that welcomes all children — those with IEPs, 504 plans, learning differences, and children with no formal diagnosis. Every child deserves personalized, high-quality education.

Our launch year begins August 2026 with a small cohort of founding families. Formal enrollment for our August 2027 inaugural year opens in 2026. We encourage families to express interest now — founding families will receive priority enrollment consideration and exclusive updates.

Our August 2026 launch year will be held in Arlington, TX. For our August 2027 inaugural year, we plan to build a permanent flagship campus designed from the ground up to serve children of all abilities. Campus location is TBD. Sign up for updates to be the first to know.

Our school day is built around mastery-based instructional blocks, embedded therapies, outdoor play, project-based learning, and daily reflection. It's intentionally different from a traditional school day — designed around how children actually learn. Visit our homepage to see our full sample daily schedule.

Yes. Millie's Place is designed with embedded therapeutic supports as part of the school day — not as a separate pull-out service. This means children receive the support they need within the context of their natural learning environment.

Not typically. Insurance won't usually approve 30–40 hours of ABA per week when a child is already in a full school day, since the school setting is viewed as the primary service. Children needing that intensity of support usually benefit from targeting foundational skills — communication, self-help, imitation, engagement — in a 1:1 setting first (Path C), before transitioning into school. ABA therapy is billed as a healthcare service, so families typically pay only their insurance copay or out-of-pocket maximum, with the rest covered based on medical necessity approval. School tuition is a separate, private-pay cost, and ABA hours are never guaranteed — they depend on individual medical necessity and authorization.

There are several ways to support us! You can donate to our Phase 1 campaign, join the Founding Donor Circle with a gift of $500 or more, spread the word to families and educators in your network, or simply sign up for our Founding Families list to stay connected.

We do not currently accept Texas Education Freedom Act (TEFA) funds. As a new school focused on building a strong foundation in our first years, we are not yet participating in the TEFA program. We plan to revisit this after two years of operation, once we have established our programs and processes. We remain committed to exploring every avenue to make Millie's Place accessible to the families who need us most.
