Millie's Place Academy is a K–2 educational program rooted in the belief that every child learns differently. Our mastery-based model means students progress when they're ready — not when the calendar says so.

Every child — typical and neurodivergent — receives an individualized learning plan (ILP) built around their strengths, pace, and interests, with academic and non-academic goals set together by families and teachers.
Students advance only after demonstrating solid mastery — measured against clear, TEKS-aligned benchmarks — with transparent progress reports tied to specific skill milestones.
We nurture every dimension of growth — academics alongside social-emotional learning, regulation, creativity, and practical life skills like self-care, collaboration, student agency, and self-advocacy.
Parents and caregivers are treated as co-educators — collaborating on goals, receiving transparent progress data, and staying connected through workshops and community events.
When a student's learning plan reflects the need, we contract Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and ABA services directly into the school day — integrated into instruction and routines, not delivered separately.
Using universal screeners and ongoing progress monitoring, we track academic and non-academic growth alike — making progress visible to students so they build agency over their own learning and the confidence to advocate for what they need.
Our school day is intentionally designed around how children actually learn — not how a clock dictates. Every block is personalized, purposeful, and built to support the whole child.
