A personalized, mastery-based K–2 school designed to empower every child to grow and thrive at their own pace.
Millie's Place Academy is a K–2 educational program rooted in the belief that every child learns differently. Our mastery-based model means students progress when they're ready — not when the calendar says so.
We meet children where they are, building confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning through personalized instruction and a nurturing environment.
From literacy and numeracy to social-emotional growth, our dedicated educators create individualized pathways for each student to discover their full potential.
Our Approach →
To provide inclusive, personalized educational services that support the holistic development of all learners — while equipping schools, families, and educators with the research-based tools needed to help every learner thrive.
We envision a world where all children have access to high-quality education tailored to individual strengths, motivations, and needs — empowering them to reach their full potential and develop a strong sense of belonging in their community.
Every child receives an individualized learning plan tailored to their strengths, needs, and pace of growth.
Students advance when they've truly mastered concepts — building deep understanding rather than surface-level familiarity.
We nurture academic skills alongside social-emotional growth, creativity, and confidence.
Families are partners in education. We build strong relationships with parents and caregivers every step of the way.
We serve students with a wide range of needs by embedding Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, and ABA directly into the school day — so support is seamless, not separate.
Our school day is intentionally designed around how children actually learn — not how a clock dictates. Every block is personalized, purposeful, and built to support the whole child.

Amy Rich — former Dallas ISD teacher, instructional coach, and assistant principal — founded Millie's Place with a vision born from both professional expertise and deeply personal experience. As the mother of a daughter with Down syndrome, she knows firsthand that every child deserves a school built around them.
A Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation grantee, Amy helped build one of Dallas's top-rated elementary schools before setting out to create something the system couldn't yet offer.
